Building Brighter Futures: McKee Homes Scholarships at SAIT

At McKee Homes, our commitment to building strong communities extends far beyond the homes we construct. One of the most impactful ways we give back is by investing in the next generation of trade and construction professionals. Through two annual scholarships at SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology), we’re proud to support students who are passionate about building their careers — literally.

1. McKee Homes Scholarship

For: Final-year students in Construction Project Management
Value: $1,600
Deadline: April 30 (annually)

This scholarship supports students in their final year of the Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management program at SAIT’s School of Construction. It is awarded to students who demonstrate:

• Financial need, and

• Academic achievement

Preference is given to students who are residents of Airdrie and have participated in the Grade 10 Rocky View School Division and McKee Homes Building Futures program — an initiative that introduces students to the homebuilding industry through real-world experience.

2. McKee Homes – A BILD Alberta Scholarship for Construction Careers

For: First-period apprentices
Value: $1,600
Deadline: May 30 (annually)
Number of awards: 4 available

This award supports first-period apprentices enrolled in one of the following programs:

• Carpenter

• Electrician

• Plumber

It’s awarded to students who show financial need and academic achievement, with a preference again for those from Airdrie who have taken part in the McKee Homes Building Futures program through the Grade 10 Rocky View School Division.
